Glenn Beck says family has received multiple threats since moving to Texas

Glenn BeckConservative pundit Glenn Beck said Thursday that his family has faced multiple threats since moving to Texas but also noted that he’s happy that he moved to the state.
Beck’s family moved from New York City to Westlake last year.
On Thursday, while interviewingRepublican presidential candidate Rick Santorum for his online show in his studio in Las Colinas, Beck touched on how being in the public eye has impacted his life.
"One of the reasons why we moved out of New York is my family was being brutalized," Beck said. "But even here, we've had...5 now attempts in 4 weeks on the family and it's just part of it."
Beck did not elaborate on the nature of the "attempts." A spokesman for Beck declined to comment. Keller Police, which handles law enforcement for Westlake, said it did not have any record of any threats reported by Beck.
Also Thursday, on his radio show, Beck spoke at length about how happy he is to have left New York for Texas.
"I feel so good to be in Texas right now," Beck said. "You know what I think it is it"s not depressing here. It's like there's hope...Every place else you're watching the destruction of your country. Here it feels good. So those in Texas don't be deceived."
Late last year, Beck announced plans to hold an inspirational event called Restoring Love on July 28 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. He has encouraged supporters around the country to travel to North Texas to attend.
