Record Setting Fish Caught...Might Be As Old As America
ALASKA - According to a local media report, a man has caught a 39.08 lb rockfish that is believed to be the oldest fish ever caught in the state of Alaska....at least 200 years old. Henry Liebman, an insurance adjuster from Seattle, reeled in the record setting fish which is 42 inches in length.
According to Alaska Fish and Game, the previous record holder was a 32 and a half inch guppie that was over 200 years old, giving them reason to believe that Liebman's catch could be substantially older.
The Seattle angler took the giant fish home with him but a sample was sent to a lab in Juneau to determine its age.
