New prosecutor picked to head up legislative corruption case

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A new special prosecutor has been appointed to take over the investigation of corruption within South Carolina's Legislature.

In a letter obtained Monday by The Associated Press, Chief Deputy Attorney General John McIntosh notified Solicitor Dan Johnson he had been picked to head up the effort.
