FBI Director James Comey came under pressure on Sunday to quickly disclose details of the newly discovered emails related to Hillary Clinton's private server, but the bureau must obtain a search warrant before agents can even examine the emails.
Sources familiar with the matter said the FBI had concluded it could not thoroughly explore the material without additional legal authorization in the form of a search warrant, which would normally require approval from a judge or magistrate.
