Ala. House passes changes to state open meetings laws

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama lawmakers have passed legislation to tighten the state's Open Meetings Act.

The House on Tuesday passed a bill that would prohibit boards and committees from holding "serial" meetings behind closed doors. The bill was approved by a vote of 91-4.
